GOAL OF THE PROJECT:

The goal of the project is to provide pre-treatment to the Coral Woods Pond, Stormwater Management Facility to achieve enhanced water quality benefits, reducing sediment and pollutant loadings and decreasing maintenance requirements of the pond, as part of the City’s Plan for Municipal Pollution Prevention. As the pond is treating the previously completed subdivision, a retrofittable ETV-verified solution was required to achieve the water quality requirements for the Town of Innisfil. Project Consultants Aqua for Beech determined that fitting 34 Qty. EnviroBasin™ Kits to the existing CatchBasins was the best solution.

EnviroBasin™ is an at-source Canadian ETV-verified Stormwater Quality Inlet device that captures sediment and gross pollutants where they first enter the drainage network. EnviroBasin™incorporates an easy-maintenance LittaTrap™ basket to capture gross pollutants and increase fine sediment retention within the catch basin sump.

34 x EnviroBasin’s™ retrofitted

WHY THEY WENT WITH ENVIROPOD™:

EnviroPod™ worked with Aquafor Beech Consultants to provide a retro-fittable ETV-verified solution for the site. EnviroPod™ carried out engineering checks to ensure the existing catch basins were suitable configurations and supplied the EnviroBasin™ Kitsets to the site contractors to install into the existing catch basins onsite.

The EnviroBasin™ was selected as the best option for this site, as it has equivalent sediment removal performance to regular Oil and Grit Separators but could be retrofitted to the site catch basins and inspected and maintained easily from above the ground.
